Welcome to Mill Valley’s Parent Participation Preschool

Discover a play-based, Reggio Emilia inspired, parent participation preschool, where community lies at the heart of our program.

Families come together to share a collective learning experience with their children. Our school philosophy fosters a child’s natural curiosity of the world while providing a warm and secure environment to build lasting connections.

Where a neighborhood becomes a community.
Where families find their village.

“We weren’t made to parent in isolation – create a village, a community, find helpers and abandon stoicism. Everyone benefits when we raise our young in communities of support.”

- Dr. Mona Delahooke

Play-Based

Through joyful learning and collaborative play, our program focuses on the development of the whole child: physical, cognitive, and social-emotional. We offer a vibrant and nurturing learning community committed to child-led exploration, creativity, and collaboration.

Parent Participation

We believe parents are valuable contributors to the educational process, bringing their unique perspectives and insights. At MVNS, children, teachers, and families work together to foster a sense of community and mutual support.

DEI

Our community is woven together by people of diverse abilities, needs, backgrounds, experiences, and cultures. We see and appreciate all differences and commonalities among each member of our community and value their unique contributions to our school.

The truth is that play seems to be one of the most advanced methods nature has invented to allow a complex brain to create itself.”
